The main character is an essential worker during the coronavirus Pandemic that began in early 2020. He was not struck by a truck or summoned by a kingdom in need but killed by an irate customer who pulled a gun after he asked him to put his mask back on. After his death, his soul enters the multiverse reincarnation cycle, but his memories persist. When he reincarnates into a fantasy world stuck in the middle ages he feels excited and thinks only of becoming an adventurer. Upon reaching adult age he sets out to join the adventurers guild but he soon gets entangled when a plague strikes the city. Soon his common knowledge makes him essential medical personnel and he is prohibited from going adventuring until after the need has passed.
